Autumn in The Garden of Morning Calm, South Korea

Located east of Seoul, on the Gapyeong district, The Garden of Morning Calm is a botanical garden or arboretum where one would find living species of plants. It is said that the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore once described Korea as “The Land of Morning Calm” or “The Country of the Morning Calm”, thus this garden is so called today.
The garden is composed of several themed areas and I must say one would require at least 2 – 3 hours to explore the place, take your must needed selfies, pictures and videos, or just breath in the peaceful atmosphere the garden has to offer.
I visited the place in early autumn, which most travelers would be led to believe is the best time to go, but the garden also presents itself with a different vibe in all other seasons of the year. It’s best to get there early in the day since the heat in an open space would have you running for the cooler shade of the trees.
The garden is also a favorite filming location for Korean TV Series like Perfume (2019); Your House Helper (2018); I'm Not A Robot (2017-18); School 2017 (2017) and Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds (2016), just to name a few.
The day tour to the garden was our first stop of a whole day tour that included the trip to Nami Island and lastly to Petit France.
