Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says life as a working royal is not as “glamorous” as it seems from the outside.
King Charles is now twice as wealthy as his mother Queen Elizabeth, with his estimated net worth sitting at nearly $850 million.
“It’s kind of a double-edged sword because on the one hand, yes he is worth a lot of money and the royal estate is worth a fortune,”
“But on the other hand, when you are in this royal fold, when you are a working royal and you are basically a professional ambassador, you don’t actually get to enjoy it that much.”
