HIKING TO THE CHALAADI GLACIER - SVANETI CAUCASUS GEORGIA

We hiked from Mestia to the Chalaadi Glacier. Mestia is located in the Svaneti region, in the Caucasus mountains. The hike took around 40 minutes, It was a good hike, not demanding. The only thing we had to do was be careful on the rocks as they do move from under your feet while hiking, also avalanches do occur in that part near the glacier. Once we decided it was unsafe to go any further (but was also too difficult) we grabbed a drink of fresh mountain water from the small waterfall before heading back into Mestia to eat some Georgian food.
