A Portrait of Modesty- FOR CHRISTIAN WOMEN

Hey family,

So up until this point we have spoken a LOT about the heart behind modesty, here is a video addressing the practical aspects of modesty in dress.
Please please do not bypass the heart work. Outward change without inward transformation is vain. Let the way you adorn, conduct and carry yourself as a godly woman flow from a true and pure love for Christ and holiness.

The standards and freedoms in dress that you uphold is between you and God because ultimately he will judge you not me. These are just the guidelines that I strive to apply because of my current convictions, understanding of scripture + culture, and of course my figure.

I hope this will be convicting and reveal the hidden things that you have been unable to see up until this point. I also hope that this will serve as confirmation if you are already walking in obedience to living a modest life both in heart and dress.

📖 Deuteronomy 22:5 - A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.

📖1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

📖 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 ..aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.

📖1 Timothy 2:9-10 - likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

📖Titus 2:4-5 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

📖1 Peter 3:3-4 Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear—but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
