Manhunt underway for gunman following ‘politically motivated assassination’ of US politician
A manhunt is underway in Minnesota after a Democratic politician and her husband were shot dead in what is being called a “politically motivated assassination”.
A second politician and his wife were also injured when they were shot in their home.
The 57-year-old suspect Vance Boelter was reportedly posing as a police officer.
Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman and her husband were gunned down in their home after a second Democrat politician, John Hoffman, and his wife were also attacked.
