Ian Eastwood Choreography | "Only One" - Kanye West

Hey guys, I am very very very proud to present to you all my first video of 2015 as well as my first released track off of my forthcoming (first ever) dance mix tape entitled “Adultlessons” (pronounced like adolescence). I don’t want to explain too much about the project because I want everyone to understand it’s intention over time, but as regards to this specific video; this one touches a very special place in my heart as it is taking a different point of view in the choreography...the point of view of my mom/grandfather. This piece is about my locally legendary Grandfather hoping I hear about him and learn about him even though he has been gone since I was a 1 year old. As well as my Mom wishing that he could be around to see what I’m doing and teach me all the things he taught her.

My Grandfather, Phil Latoria is one of the original 20 Latoria children (yes 20 kids with only two parents - they are the family in the old photographs in this video - named the Largest Italian American family at the World’s Fair in Chicago) and was as much as I’ve understood over the years quite the legendary man for us to have lost at somewhat of an early age. Even though I never really got to meet him and be able to remember it, I’ve met him millions of times already over the years from all of the different family members telling stories about him and missing him dearly, my Mom included. So yes, everything that happens in this video is very true to life. I’m so happy my mom accepted being a part of my creative vision, and that my dad made this beautiful original piece of artwork for not only my mixtape but especially this video. Thank you to Gerald for shooting this and being a pleasure to work with as a DP, to Jon Shih for helping with Coloring, to these young gentlemen Monyett Crump & Dom Johnson for dancing with me and killing it at such an early age, to Megan for helping with audio and input, to Kanye for the music, and to you for watching. It’s gunna be a dope year.
