Valve's new Steam Machine is over $1,000, and everyone is trying to build a "killer" with a huge budget. I wanted to see if I could do it for just $200—starting with a $150 mystery purchase from Facebook Marketplace.

This computer was literally handed to me in a paper shopping bag. It was dirty, partially taken apart, and I had no idea if it even worked. Did I just throw my money away, or did I find something special?
