How a PI Controller works inside a VFD Speed Control system

This is how a PI Controller works in a VFD to maintain precise speed control within variable conditions caused by friction, available power and other factors. Across KEB’s line of inverters, a PI controller is used whenever closed loop control is utilized.

In this video we'll talk about the Proportional and Integral (PI) portion of Closed Loop control which allows for precise control of the motor's speed and torque in real world conditions.
