Always ask this question before creating a Customer Journey Map

Want to make better Customer Journey Maps? Make sure you always ask this question before you start sticking post-it notes on the wall!

It so sad to see that people tend to waste a lot of time creating Customer Journey Maps which eventually don't make the impact they potentially could.

One of the main reasons is that they start mapping without clearly defining the goal of the map first. Why do you need the map in the first place? Do you actually need a map?

Spending time at the start of your project to set a clear focus for the map will save you a lot of time and confustion during the project.
