The Christmas film by The Ballet Magazine X La Personne

One peaceful December evening just as it began to snow, three damsels found themselves in an enchanted terem. I might say that a single living soul can hardly now remember the fork in the road where the terem stands and the way our princesses have reached it. But such a wondrous place it was, full of mysteries, riddles and curiosities… Candles crackled, a warm carpet under the girlish feet seemed ready to fly, and the black cat was purring and lulling, while touching the table with her fluffy paws. And the table was served in a magical manner – a crimson apple lying on a golden plate, a glass of crystal water and a wedding ring aside, a cup of thick fragrant coffee with cute balls of smoke above it. The princesses started Yule fortune telling – guessing at the future and grooms… Gazing into the magic looking glass, asking who of them is the fairest and whose beauty is the rarest. Suddenly something blinked and sparkled by the window, the damsels raised their eyes and saw – beautiful ballet shoes stood as though covered by the clouds of stardust. The magic shoes took girlish minds off, the princesses grabbed them, watched curiously and tried eagerly. The first princess was enchanted by the white-feathered shoes, the second princess like the crimson ones, and the third, the youngest princess, chose the icy-silver shoes. As soon as the Princesses put their shoes on, the terem suddenly vanished and all the curiosities faded away like Fata Morgana in the morning fog… The damsels got each to her our fairy tale.
The first princess waved her beautiful arms and turned into a gorgeous White Swan. The enchanted forest rose around her, stumps and snags covered by the moss, a heavy mist slithering through the ground... And no heartfelt friends around her. The second princess meanwhile turned into The Firebird – fervently pining in a cage, waiting for a savior to release her, a prideful bird. And the youngest damsel became the Snow Maiden. While she looked around, a winter realm arose – a white snowy blanket laid under her feet and the icicles shimmered in the moonlight.

One might hardly remember how the tale ends but the Princesses have never returned from the enchanted world. As for the curious terem, it still stands on the same crossroads and the magic ballet shoes still sparkle in the mist of glittering stardust.
