Canon RF 800 & 600mm F11 IS STM - Just A Gimmick Or Can You Take GREAT Images At F11 Wide Open!?

When I first heard about the Canon RF 800 & 600mm IS STM lenses, I thought there's no way these could work in the field. But when I held them in my hands for the first time, I started to see the appeal of these lenses. They were just so lightweight and offered an amazing focal length at an attractive price point. These were all traits all other big prime lenses don't offer!
That's all good and well, but can you still take great bird images with the lenses, or is it impossible to use F11 in the field? What about smooth backgrounds? Will it be impossible to get a big prime lens look like on an F4 600 mm lens for instance! How about rainforest photography?
That's what I set out to explore and I am sharing my results of several weeks of bird photography with the RF 800 and Rf 600mm lenses in this video with you!
