Department of Human Services supervisor, daughter accused of SNAP benefit fraud

U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island Zachary Cunha announced Tuesday that a state Department of Human Services supervisor accused of using fraudulently accessed SNAP benefits, and her daughter are facing federal charges.

According to federal prosecutors, 57-year-old Nadine Jean Baptiste of Warwick used her position to improperly access personal information of SNAP recipients, SNAP EBT benefit card balance information and used it for her and her daughter’s personal purchases.
