Kenworths moving 272t bridge beam

On Sat 05/05/18, ALE Heavylift are shown as they move a 272 t concrete rail bridge section from Kilmore on the first leg of its 2 night journey to Frankston. The move is seen with ALE & OD Transport on the front, and another ALE, and a Membreys helping out at the rear. In addition, Membreys Kenworth Director T909 is also on hand to help with a reversal move at Wandong, and is also added to the front later in the night near Wallan, to assists on the hilly section from Wandong into the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
A spare ALE truck also follows as a back up.

The convoy has to travel to Wallan, and then head north on the Hume highway to Wandong, taking the exit there, and then returning south back to Wallan to avoid passing over a bridge south of Wallan that has spans that are incapable of taking the load.
At Wandong a reversal move has to take place,( which is shown in a brief diagram in the video) , due to the turns being too tight.
