PENICHE, Leiria

Peniche é uma cidade e sede do concelho, no distrito de Leiria. O município de Peniche é limitado a leste por Óbidos, Lourinhã a sul e a oeste e norte, pelo Oceano Atlântico.
Peniche foi elevada a vila em 1609 e em 1988 passou a cidade.
Peniche, é a cidade mais ocidental da Europa Continental.
Desde 2009, Peniche é uma das dez etapas do Circuito Mundial de Surf.

Peniche is a city and county seat, in Leiria district. The municipality of Peniche is bordered to the east by Obidos, Lourinha to south and west and north by the Atlantic Ocean.
Peniche was elevated to village in 1609 and in 1988 to town.
Peniche is the westernmost city in continental Europe.
Since 2009, Peniche is one of the ten stages of the World Surfing Tour.
