BEACH CLUB VILLAS | Deluxe Studio Room, Stormalong Bay, and Temporary Marketplace!

We couldn't wait for our next DVC stay, and here it is! This time we're at the Beach Club Villas to enjoy being in the EPCOT resort area and having access to the best pool at Disney World. We begin our stay by checking out the temporary Marketplace that has been setup while the store and quick service location is under renovation.

The temporary store is setup in the Solarium, and we were really impressed with how much was available from the temporary location. While we didn't get any food from the store, we were happy to find that there was a pretty big variety of merchandise and food options for everyone to select from if they're looking for a quick service option while staying at the Beach Club. After checking out the Solarium we head over to Stormalong Bay, the pool shared by Beach Club and Yacht Club.

Stormalong Bay is the largest pool on Disney property that features multiple sand-bottom pools, a whirlpool, lazy river, waterfalls, and a slide from the top of a pirate ship. We walk around the pool deck to show the various sections of the pool that guests of the Beach Club and Yacht Club can enjoy before we later went to the pool ourselves. We were surprised to find that when we went to the pool later that night it was less crowded than when we filmed. We actually expected it to be a bit of the opposite since guests may return to the pool after the parks closed, but were were happy to have light crowds when we went swimming. Near the pool is also Beaches and Cream, which we ate at a few months ago.

We did not have a reservation for Beaches and Cream this time, but we did take advantage of the walk-up window to get some ice cream before returning to the room. Our original plan was to head over to Yacht Club's Ale & Compass lounge for dinner after swimming, but unfortunately found that the lounge stopped serving food when the restaurant closed. The app said food was still available, so that's something you may want to keep in mind if you plan on eating there. By the time we realized we would be unable to eat at Ale & Compass there were no dining locations open at any of the nearby resorts (everything closes at 9pm or 10pm due to shorter park hours currently). Since we had no food options at Beach Club we ended up picking up some fast food, but still got to enjoy the food from the balcony of our room (which had views of the backside of EPCOT).

The next morning we checked out and were off to Hollywood Studios, so keep an eye out for that video coming soon!
