Day 36 - ​How to Reach Naharlagun Railway Station from Itanagar + Testing Zippy App | Syntax Nomad

​🇮🇳 Welcome to Day 36 of Project Bharat Darshan! Today is a dedicated transit day as I make my way from the capital city of Itanagar back down to Naharlagun to catch my train back to Delhi.

​The Morning Mission:
The day began right after breakfast with a quick walk around Itanagar to check on the local bus options to Sukhovi. I wanted to map out the logistics early so that checking out later in the afternoon would be a breeze.

​The Itanagar to Naharlagun Route:
After checking out at noon, ground reality struck—there was no direct bus available from Itanagar today. To adapt, I boarded a local shared Tata Sumo heading down to Naharlagun city for ₹100 INR. The only catch? The Sumo drops passengers in the main city, meaning I still needed to figure out a secondary ride to reach the actual railway station.

​The Local Tech Hack (Zippy App):
While stopping for lunch at Domino's in Naharlagun city, a fellow passenger gave me an excellent local tip: an app called Zippy, which is Arunachal’s local alternative to Uber for bike taxis. I downloaded the app, booked a bike taxi right from the city center, and bypassed the traffic straight to the station gates!

​Naharlagun Railway Station Tour:
When I originally arrived at Naharlagun from Sukhovi, I was in a massive rush and didn't have time to film the station. Today, since I arrived early, I finally got decent time to explore the infrastructure. In this video, I take you along for a tour of Naharlagun Railway Station (NHLN), covering the facilities, waiting areas, and overall maintenance.

​Boarding & The RAC Situation:
The video wraps up at 10:00 PM as my train pulls into the platform. My ticket to Anand Vihar Terminal is confirmed, but it's an RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) berth. I show you the boarding process and the space layout as I brace myself for the upcoming multi-day journey back to Delhi.
