Remembering Florence Ballard - 40 years

A tribute video to Florence Glenda Ballard Chapman, Born 30th June 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, nicknamed 'Flo' and 'Blondie' by her friends. Most recognisable as the founding member of 1960s Motown group - The Supremes (originally 'The Primettes' 1959-1960) 1959-1977. She suffered a tragic life after having her lead vocal role taken from her by Berry Gordy Jr. And was eventually fired from The Supremes in 1967, from there she attempted a solo career with ABC Records, however being restricted from mentioning she was a Supreme or had anything to do with them. The failure of her solo career then lead to Flo living a tragic life, being on ADC and turning to alcohol to solve her depression....she passed away on February 22nd 1976 at Mount Carmel Hospital at 10:05AM Detroit time from coronary artery thrombosis.

This is a tribute to Flo and being done on behalf of all her fans, family and supporters that are members of various groups dedicated to The Supremes and Florence.

NOTICE: ANY HATEFUL OR SPITEFUL COMMENTS TOWARDS FLORENCE OR THE SUPREMES WILL BE REMOVED AND YOU WILL BE BLOCKED FROM THIS...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BE DEBATING ON WHAT HAPPENED WITH FLO AND THE REST OF THE GROUP, IT IS TO SUPPORT FLO HERSELF, IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU'RE SEEING, YOU HAVE THE CHOICE NOT TO WATCH IT. THANK YOU!
