The Flush Chisel // A Split Handle Chisel...For Flush Work

Chiseling isn't always done in a vertical position, striking downward. Sometimes, cleaning the surface is needed, especially when you don't want to plane the rest of the surface down. If I have a spot I need to remove, this will clean it up without tearing the nearby area. It can also be used with a jig to slice stock for joinery. This chisel, unlike other woodworking chisels, will allow me access to the inside surface of a piece of stock. It allows me to clean things flush with the stock instead of just using it perpendicularly. I've tempered the steel of this O1 blade, showed how it was done as well as grinding it, tapping and adding screws. I've very proud of this little chisel and think it could be a part of any woodworking shop.
