How to make a ring from a stainless steel hex nut

In this video I bought a 5/8" stainless steel hex nut from my local big box store to create my wife a new wedding band. I started off by creating the internal ring size with the harborfreight mini lathe, then I shaped the external to the desired look and size for the ring, then I started sanding the ring while progressing to finer grit sand paper and lubricating the sand paper with alcohol. I started to polished the ring while it was still on the ring mandrel with some mag aluminum polish on a shop paper towel. After polishing I started to do the heat color treatment with a propane blow torch. You have to take this process slowly, because it can go from a beautiful gold, purple color to gray quickly, if this happens you let it cool then sand it back to its natural state, then start over with the heating. Thank you for watching my first video, I hope you enjoyed it. Comments and advise that would help me better my channel would be appreciated.
