The 44th Mill Valley Film Festival (October 7-17, 2021) and Variety Magazine present the Creative Impact Award to 'The Hand of God' Director Paolo Sorrentino, in conversation with Variety Magazine's Features Editor Malina Saval.

Oscar®-winner Paolo Sorrentino (Youth, MVFF 2015) returns with his most personal movie to date, about a soccer-obsessed teen (Filippo Scotti) in 1980s Naples. Co-starring Sorrentino regular Toni Servillo and filmed in the director’s hometown, it’s a cinematic roman à clef brimming with tender humor and Fellini-esque surrealism—and it’s an absolute masterpiece.
