Whisper the Secret going to windward

"Whisper", our Secret 20 class gaff cutter, sailing to windward in the waters off Brightlingsea. mostly in conditions of F4 to 5. Secret was designed by Derek Ellard of Scruffie Marine in Australia, and is promoted in the UK by Whisper Boats - http://www.whisperboats.co.uk . I built this, the first in the UK, from a kit supplied by Scruffie, and if I can do it, so can you.

The Secret goes very well to windward, as you can see. She points higher than most gaffers, her slim bow, but with bouyant underwater proflie, parts waves with a minimum of slowing. Above all, her neutrality on the helm, whatever the angle of heal, puts you in complete control, allowing you to luff up & bear away at will.
