Chex Mix Recipe: (pumpkin spice edition!)

Dry Mixture-
2 Boxes Rice Chex
1 Box Corn Chex
1 Box Honeycomb
1 Box Cinnamon Toast Crunch
1 Box Life Cereal- Pumpkin Spice
1 - 16 oz bag pretzel sticks
3 cans of nuts- (we use cashews, honey-roasted peanuts & a premium mix)

Oil/Seasoning mixture-
2 cups Canola Oil
10 teaspoons Worchestershire sauce
1/3 cup sugar
3 tsp. garlic powder

Post-baking seasoning-
-For this variation of the recipe, we used 1/8 cup of sugar mixed with 1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice for each of our 6 pans of chex mix.

Mix-ins once cooled-
-Mix of cinnamon chips, caramel chips and butterscotch chips.

Directions: Heat oven to 250. Split all elements of the dry mixture between two large brown paper bags (each bag gets a full box of Rice Chex). Blend all elements of the oil/seasoning mixture in a saucepan and when they're nearly to a boil, remove from heat and spoon a couple tablespoons at a time between the two bags (the seasoning settles to the bottom, so this is key). Gently shake bags as you go.

Roll your paper bags down, securing with a clothespin. Place end-to-end on a large pan in the oven, turning every 15 minutes for an hour. This amount of mix will then fill six large pans to cool. Sprinkle on your post-baking seasoning while still warm. Once it's cool, store in an air-tight container (we use gallon-size freezer bags).
