No Nonsense Arkansas State Trooper 93 MPH PIT Maneuver

On 01/04/2026, at approximately 2015 hours, I, Trooper R. Plyler #357, was traveling west on Highway 70 E near Cedar Creek Road. During that time, a black Honda Civic displaying AR 633YMA passed me while traveling east in the inside traffic lane at83 miles per hour in a posted 60 miles per hour zone. I activated my emergency lights as the car passed me. After making a u-turn, I quickly caught up to it after it changed to the outside traffic lane. While traveling directly behind the car with lights and sirens activated, the vehicle failed to yield or stop. We continued at speeds ranging from 74 to 76 miles per hour for several miles. During this time, he changed lanes to the inside lane while passing another vehicle.

 After we passed the other vehicle and traffic was clear, a TVI was conducted on the passenger rear side of the car, sending it into the grassy shoulder south of the roadway. The driver, later identified as Josiah Samuel Gomez, complied with verbal orders and was taken into custody without further incident. I observed damage to the passenger and driver side rear bumper while I inventoried the car. After speaking to the driver/owner of the vehicle, he advised all damage was from prior incidents. My patrol unit did not obtain any damage during the pursuit or TVI.
