GM Arjun Erigaisi will be the highest rated participant among the Challengers, followed by Kazakhstan no.1 GM Rinat Jumabayev. The only other Indian taking part in this event is Surya Sekhar Ganguly who will return to the event after two years. The remaining participants are - GM Erwin l'Ami (NED), GM Thai Dai Van Nguyen (CZE), GM Max Warmerdam (NED), GM Jonas Buhl Bjerre (DEN), GM Lucas van Foreest (NED), GM Daniel Dardha (BEL), IM Volodar Murzin (RUS), IM Polina Shuvalova (RUS), GM Marc Andria Maurizzi (ITA), WGM Jiner Zhu (CHN) and IM Roven Vogel (GER).

Live commentary by IM Sagar Shah and Amruta Mokal.

Time control: 100 Minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the remaining moves with 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move.

Tournament will last from 15th to 30th of January 2022 and will take place in Wijk Aan Zee, Netherlands. Rest days are on 19th, 23rd and 27th
