Dave shows up late to work and is called in by Boss John to discuss his tardiness. When questioned, Dave explains that he's been having a hard time getting his kids to school on time. When Boss John asks why Dave's wife doesn't get the kids to school Dave reveals that his wife also works. Boss John and Brett (in charge of IT) have a laugh and then Boss John decides to fire Dave. This information causes him to faint and collapse. John then decides to let him stay employed as long as he purchases some race car toys and tracks for his kids. Dave remembers that Boss John doesn't have any kids and then asks if he actually is getting the cars for himself. Boss John admits to his selfish plan but still sends Dave off to get his toys.
