343 - Back in Action (2025)

Back in Action reunites Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx in a Netflix action-comedy that zigs where many recent spy flicks zag. Diaz carries herself well, showing the same spark fans missed, while Foxx brings a relaxed humor that offsets the movie’s more predictable moments. The fight sequences are surprisingly fun, especially early aboard a private jet and in midair stunts that feel earned. Though the plot leans heavily on familiar points and the villain’s motives are thin, the film spends enough effort on its character relationships—especially the parents-trying-to-shield-kids storyline—to make you care. It isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s a solid return for these leads, and when it’s entertaining, it often is. It was too generous here...
