Currency may be new battleground in China US trade war

The trade tensions with the US have spawned a battle over the Chinese currency. A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said that China won't devalue its currency to bolster exports in response to Washington's announcement about monitoring China's currency performance. US President Donald Trump says he's ready to go all the way in the trade conflict, with tariffs on 500 bln US dollars’ worth of Chinese goods.
