2023 International Women's Day Commemoration | UN Women India

India Commemoration of IWD on the 4th of March 2023 at the UN House, New Delhi, India.

In commemoration of International Women’s Day, UN Women brought together local-level women leaders from different parts of India to speak about the impact of technology and innovation in their everyday lives. The discussions ranged from using digital payments, and social media for community information sharing to using technology for starting a Millet Bank.

The Minister for Women and Child Development and the Minister for Minority Affairs, Smriti Zubin Irani also unveiled “Leading from the Front”, a new compendium of stories of women-led development in the Aspirational Districts of India.
