Omega couldn't restrain themselves with releasing their new 2021 Speedmaster Moonwatch, so on the first #speedytuesday of 2021, they dropped the latest evolution of their iconic chronograph.

With the Speedmaster Professional being one of their longest, continuously unchanged designs, one shouldn't expect revolution here. The main aesthetic changes are the redesigned bracelet with smaller center links - similar to the 2019 Speedmaster 50th Anniversary in Moonshine Gold (ref. 310.60.42.50.99.001) - the dot over 90 on the tachymeter bezel, slightly enlarged crown, applied Omega logo on the sapphire sandwich models and new options for straps on both sapphire sandwich and hesalite variants.

On the inside is the real action - where the new Omega Calibre 3861 movement, which made its debut in 2019, has been introduced. A thorough reworking of the 1861/1863 calibres, the 3861 adds a co-axial escapement, silicon hairspring, METAS certification, and increased power reserve.
