I did not want to overlook these other two options included in same video: slanted stitches and cross stitches. As we can see, to interlace the leather strips is a simple process.
The strips could be cut narrower and thinner. The seam allowances could also be skived to reduce the bulky edge.
The idea is given and could be handled to our own taste, convenience, and imagination. At the end of the video, after being inspired from these artisan handsewings I show a pair of custom seats I did for my shop.
