Dev Says "Massive, Highly Detailed" Games Will Benefit The Most From PS5 SSD, PS5 Exclusive Games

Today we are talking about some recent comments that were made by a 3rd party developer on the next-gen consoles. This dev talked about how the SSD inside of the PS5 and Xbox Series X will have a big impact on massive, highly detailed games. It's interesting that this developer decided to focus on the SSD before all else, considering the PS5 SSD is significantly better and faster than the Xbox SX SSD. Does this mean we can anticipate bigger, more detailed game worlds on the PS5, will PS5 exclusive games be able to achieve a level of detail and world size/scope that we won't see on the Xbox Series X and PC? We have been hearing developers time and time again praising the SSD and talking up the PlayStation 5 and claiming how big of a deal the SSD and I/O throughput is going to be for next-gen games. We are also taking a few minutes to go over the new rumor about the Xbox July event and how their new first party studio The Initiative may not be revealing their new game at this Xbox event.
