"This waltz is in the key of A-flat minor with constant repeated notes. Mignone indicates as a tempo marking the expression quase falando (almost speaking, parlando) suggesting to the interpreter the manner in which these repeated notes should be played. In this monologuelike waltz Mignone is perhaps implying his own grief as a widower as mentioned in the waltz Mistério.
