Short Scale Bass Comparison - Sire U5 vs Gibson LP DC Jr vs Squier VM Mustang

This is a comparison video of the Sire U5 with a Gibson LP DC Jr tribute bass and a Squier Vintage Modified Mustang bass. All of the basses were plugged directly into my interface and into my DAW. No effects or processing were done.

The Sire bass has the factory strings on it and is largely how it came to me. Since recording this video I have restrung the bass with some worn in half rounds, through the body, and lowered the pickups. Keep your eyes and ears open for a future video comparing the differences.

The Gibson bass also has the factory strings on it. I do have some flats that I will be putting on it for another upcoming video.

The Squier has flat wound strings on it. These are a set specifically designed for through body strung Mustang basses, both in terms of length and gauges.
