For some, it’s a tap on the shoulder; for others, it’s a gentle paw on the leg. Marine veteran Mike Deardorff says everything changed the moment he felt that paw. He knew—a service dog could pull him back from the ledge where his post-traumatic stress kept him for years. With his furry companion Ryan by his side, Mike now pays his newfound hope forward.
