How to Make a Log File
A Log file keeps a record of event detail, date, and time. This is generally used by the antivirus software, your OS, and Apps to track some unusual activity or errors. You can create a simple Log file without any compiler. Follow the easy steps as shown in this video.
1. Click on the Windows search bar.
2. Type Notepad, and from the search result, click on the Notepad App.
3. Type Dot LOG in the first line, and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
4. Click on the File menu, and from the drop-down list, click on the Save As option.
5. Select a destination on your computer to save your Log file.
6. Type the name of your Log file in the File name text field.
7. Click on the Save button.
8. Close the Notepad app.
9. Now, whenever you will open your Log file, you will notice that the time and date have been automatically added to the Log file.
10. Let’s close the opened Log file.
11. Try to open the Log file at different time periods.
