Filipinos all over the world are heeding the call for help not only to raise much-needed funds but also raise massive awareness regarding the dire and urgent need for assistance for the victims of typhoons "Ondoy" and "Pepeng." The "bayanihan" spirit is alive, kicking and without boundaries. LEA SALONGA (who is currently touring the United States with her solo concert) and JET MONTELIBANO (who spearheaded the benefit concert "Handog Sa Bayan" are only a few of the entertainers who have taken the lead in coordinating such efforts with the goal of calling attention to the alarming situation in the Philippines and urging overseas "kababayans" to extend help.
