Technically, they are identical twins - in terms of shape, both set their own distinctive and distinctive accent: the Audi Q4 e-tron concept gave a taste of the first compact E-SUV from Audi at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. And with the Q4 Sportback e-tron concept, the brand is now showing the second model of the 2021 series that will go into series production as an SUV coupé.

Potential Q4 customers can therefore make a decision about the version of their choice around a year before the first deliveries - for the versatility and robustness of the classic SUV, or the dynamic elegance of the coupé variant. The dimensions of both Q4 models are almost identical: with an external length of 4.60 meters, the Sportback is one centimeter longer and one centimeter flatter with a height of 1.60 m.
The width of 1.90 m and the wheelbase of 2.77 meters connect the Q4 variants.

There is also agreement on the drive technology of the two concept vehicles, which already give a clear view of the top engine of the upcoming series model. Two electric motors mobilize 225 kilowatts of system power in the Q4 and Q4 Sportback e-tron concept. Typically Audi, the drive power reaches the road with quattro all-wheel drive. Thanks to excellent traction, both Q4 versions complete the sprint from zero to 100 km / h in just 6.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 180 km / h.

A large-sized battery takes up almost the entire area in the underbody area between the axes; their capacity is 82 kilowatt hours. The range of more than 450 kilometers - according to the WLTP standard - sets a class benchmark. Rear-wheel drive versions will offer over 500 kilometers of WLTP range. The technology of the Q4 e-tron series is provided by the Modular Electrification Kit (MEB), which the Volkswagen Group will be able to find in numerous electric vehicles from the compact to the middle class in the future. The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron concept gives an outlook on the seventh electric production vehicle that the manufacturer will present by 2021.
