'Secret' government documents 'prove' Nebuliser man did not cause COVID outbreak
The "Andrews government" blame everybody but themselves, as secret government documents reveal the "Nebuliser man" was not responsible for the outbreak that caused a five-day lockdown, says Victoria's Opposition health spokeswoman Georgie Crozier.
The remarks come as The Australian newspaper published confidential government documents which detailed alleged issues with the management of Victoria's hotel quarantine system.
"There was one man that the premier and the chief health officer blamed for the outbreak from Holiday Inn which caused the five-day lockdown... and that was the Nebuliser man - it's been proven through these documents that in actual fact it wasn't him that caused the outbreak," she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
"The Andrews government will blame everybody else but themselves.
"Not one minister has lost their job over the failures and all of the disasters and the terrible, terrible situation that we experienced last year.
"And this cover-up that has gone on - I mean they knew that Nebuliser man was not the cause, way back in March - and it was only through the workers you said of the journalist at The Australian that's uncovered this - and the least they can do is give that man an apology and the acting premier wouldn't even do that in a parliament today."
