TESLA’s JEFF KEITH Talks Recent Album "Full Throttle Live": 'We Play Live At All Times, No Machines'

Legendary Sacramento rockers, TESLA released their live album, "Full Throttle Live", on May 26th. It was recorded at the infamous Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota, during their Bike Rally in August 2022. The album captures the essence of TESLA at their best during a hell-raising concert. From the slash-and-burn riffing of the album's lead-off track, "Miles Away," to the high-speed antics of their two new songs, "Time to Rock!" and "Cold Blue Steel," to the perfect closing cover of Aerosmith's "S.O.S. (Too Bad)", TESLA delivers nine classics with a balls-out attitude. The band consists of Jeff Keith [vocals], Frank Hannon [guitar], Brian Wheat [bass], Dave Rude [guitar], and Steve Brown [drums].

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith.

Correspondent Robert Cavuoto spoke to TESLA's front-man, the ever charismatic Jeff Keith about the live record, how the band doesn't believe in using backing tracks, their ability to modify their set list show-to-show, a new album is in the works while releasing singles, and why he wasn't motivated to write during the pandemic, among other topics.
