Our First Trip to Turks & Caicos - Grace Bay, Taylor Bay, & Island Life! || 2025-30

Turks and Caicos has finally made its way off our bucket list! We've heard all the hype—and the price tag—and it's all true. This was our first visit to the island of Providenciales, and even though we’re only here for 3 days, we’re making the most of it.

We flew from Knoxville to Miami, then straight into paradise. To avoid the outrageous taxi rates, we rented a car for $90—which basically paid for itself by the end of day one. First stop: the wild and rugged west end of the island. Not much there but wind, rocks, and open ocean views. From there, we made our way back to Grace Bay, the main attraction, with its stunning white sand beaches and turquoise waters.

We grabbed lunch at a local cantina (good food, meh service, high prices—fair warning), then killed some time exploring the east side of the island before checking in to our Airbnb near the canals on the southwest side. Cozy, peaceful, and perfect for two.

Wrapped up the day with a trip to Taylor Bay, a secluded, shallow beach that felt like our own private paradise. Ended the night with pizza from Pizza Pizza (surprisingly affordable and delicious!) and started planning day two.
