The storm chasing season roars to life with an unexpected outbreak. Two Kickstarter backers, Ray and Bill, join Reed Timmer and the TVN team - this is their first time storm chasing and hope to see a tornado. Reed and his crew, including new driver Connor, attempt to intercept and deploy scientific probes. From close range, they observe a rare and powerful helical tornado, along with the destruction it leaves behind.
