Are Home Buyers With Good Credit & Big Down Payments Being Penalized Under New Biden Mortgage Rules?

Beginning May 1st, home buyers with a credit score of 680 or higher, and a big down payment will pay an additional monthly fee in what many see as a penalizing move by the Biden government.

On a $400,000 mortgage, buyers will pay an additional $40 per month to subsidize mortgages for higher risk buyers.
