CRE Ranks the Top 10 Issues Affecting Real Estate

Counselors of Real Estate Chair Joseph Nahas Jr. delivered the real estate thought leadership organization's annual ranking of the leading impactors on the real estate sector at the National Association of Real Estate Editors real estate journalism conference in Las Vegas in mid-June. Afterwards, he sat down with CPE Editorial Director Suzann Silverman to evaluate the top issues. This year, the Counselors of Real Estate split the list between current issues and longer-term considerations. The current issues list is topped by interest rates and the economy, followed by politics and political uncertainty, housing affordability, generational change/demographics, and e-commerce and logistics. The leading longer-term issues include infrastructure, followed by disruptive technology, natural disasters and climate change, immigration, and energy and water.
