Avatar the Last Airbender is packed with some truly amazing benders, but who out of all of them is the most skilled and most talented? Who are those elite benders who put all the others to shame?

And I’m not just talking about pure power. Because of course Avatar Aang or Avatar Kyoshi would be more powerful than a lot of benders just because of their amazing mastery of all four elements. But there’s more to being a skilled bender than just raw power. Think of someone like Zaheer, the villain from season 3 of the Legend of Korra who was able to evolve airbending to the point where he could literally fly, or obviously Toph, who already was an amazing Earthbender, but then took it a step beyond by inventing metalbending. And then you have to look at people like Ming-Hua, who even without arms is an incredibly deadly waterbender or Uncle Iroh, who learned the secret of true firebending power doesn’t just come from rage, but rather a nice balance. All of these benders are incredibly skilled in their own unique ways.
