It's been eons since our last video. We hope everyone is staying healthy and hanging in there. If you missed our update in June, it's basically that we: had a baby (duh), bought a new house on the West Coast (mainly to take advantage of major grandparent help from across the border in Vancouver, Canada 😂), the pandemic hit, we moved, aaaaaand... we've been waiting for the border to open ever since!!!!!!! These are such difficult times, but we feel lucky that we've at least been able to spend a lot of time enjoying our kids. We're in the midst of construction on our new recording studio, which was delayed because of Covid, but once that's finished in December we look forward to sharing that new space with you all in our next videos!

A note on this song choice, if anyone is curious why we picked it. We obviously worship Mariah, but we also LOVE Schitt's Creek, which I binge-watched in the early months of breastfeeding Archie at all hours of the day and night. So I weirdly associate Archie with that show, and of course David Rose's favorite singer is Mariah, so... a no brainer! 😄

They also have a second YouTube channel, "Brooklyn Classical", which aims to introduce classical music to a larger audience through high quality, live video performances. Brooklyn Classical often hosts high-profile guest artists, including the world-renowned Dover and Escher string quartets, percussionist Ivan Trevino and cellist Cicely Parnas.

Popular classical music stations Classic FM and WQXR regularly share Brooklyn Duo’s music on their social media pages, with Classic FM calling the duo “masters of the artfully planned pop cover.” Their music has also been featured on several television shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and America's Got Talent.
