Volvo VNM Bridgeport Ranger — Waste Management in Tehachapi

Kern County is home to a number of these very unusual Volvo conventional/Bridgeport Ranger combos. Waste Management in Tehachapi is one of five companies in the area to run at least one of these trucks, with a total of something like 10 between everyone who owns them. It's my understanding this particular truck actually initiated this unique regional trend, formerly running as a demo unit from a big Volvo/Mack dealer in Bakersfield (hence the wrap). A company called Benz Sanitation ended up buying it after its life as a demo, and then Benz Sanitation proceeded to sell to Waste Management resulting in what is easily one of the most bizarre trucks in the WM fleet. Between the lack of both Volvo conventional chassis and Bridgeport bodies in WM's fleet, a one of a kind wrap instead of the standard WM paint scheme, and the fact that the entire city of Tehachapi consists solely of Benz carts currently made this the strangest Waste Management filming experience I've ever had.
