Trainz a New Era: Conrail St. Louis Line Release Announcement
Good evening everyone,
After starting the route in TS12, I'm pleased to announce the HO Scale St. Louis Line (TANE SP2) has been uploaded to the DLS and is pending Auran approval. I'll update the thread once it is available on the DLS. First of all, many thanks to Smyers and Kris (WIT Simulations on YouTube) for throughly beta testing the route and giving me content feedback. Kris also did a nice livestream of the route on his channel on Veterans Day.
This is a route overview (heavy in commentary) to go through the operations on the line, industries on the route, and other general information for those who want to run it like the prototype. The route modeled is from the western suburbs of Indianapolis to Terre Haute, IN which was 65 miles on the prototype. The track plan is based on mid 1990s operations when it was owned and operated by Conrail. The route can easily be run as an early 2000s CSX operation prior to them reconstructing the entire physical plant around Haley Tower in Terre Haute, IN. There are a number of videos on the channel covering this route covering the route for those are interested in watching trackside videos prior to downloading.
As far as third party assets, the release thread on the Auran Freeware Announcements section should be a good starting point (link below). As always, happy Trainzing.
