Minecraft - Animated BLOCKS + ITEMS Tutorial! (1.12+)

In today's tutorial, I'll show you all how to create ANIMATED Minecraft blocks and items using only a resource pack. As far as I'm aware, this method of animation works in almost all versions of Minecraft that are 1.12 and above, however if I am wrong, please alert me in the comments. This tutorial is for beginners who want to create texture packs or anybody who needs to refresh their knowledge.

I know that this video is long, however I do go in depth with these concepts, so please do not be angry with the length, but instead with the content.
