How to Make Gingerbread Biscuits | Vintage Recipe
Hello Darlings! Thank you SO much for 27.5k subscribers! Every single one of you mean so much to me, thank you! I hope you enjoy this week’s little Christmas baking video. The recipe has been in my family for many a years! I hadn’t made this recipe since last Christmas, so I was a little rusty with my baking skills! I can honestly say these are the BEST gingerbread biscuits I have ever tasted!! If you would like to make them for Christmas the recipe is here:
Ingredients:
500g self raising flour
2 TBSP ground ginger
150g butter
200g golden syrup
200g brown sugar
4 TBSP milk
plain flour for work surface
Method:
-Sift the flour and ground ginger into large bowl. Rub butter through flour.
-Mix syrup, sugar and milk together in a separate bowl, then add to dry ingredients. Mix with wooden spoon to form a dough.
-Put dough in fridge for 1/2 an hour to harden.
-Grease baking trays and set oven temperature to 180 degrees Celsius/356 degrees Fahrenheit.
-Lightly flour your work surface and roll out dough so that it is about 1/2" thick all over. Cut out biscuit shapes and place on tray, leaving gaps between.
-Bake in oven 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes or until golden brown in colour.
-Cool on wire rack.
Lots of love,
Sage Xx
