2012 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Stereo Install, Including Parking Brake Integration

Bought my wife an #Apple Carplay compatible Alpine iLX-W640 head unit from Crutchfield. Along with their base model integration kit. This JK is a 2014, but the install should be similar for any JK with the second gen dash. Installing it was pretty straight forward, with a few exceptions. The sub-dash requires some modification, and the integration with the parking brake proved a little elusive! I cover how to get that patched in without dis-assembling your center console! The head unit itself is great now that its installed and the parking brake works. Without the parking brake signal, many components of the stereo are locked out because of safety measures put in place on the unit.
